I am an active foster cat volunteer at a Calgary rescue shelter and also an ex-farm girl who grew up with many animals. While volunteering with rescue cats, I have gained basic knowledge of different dietary, medical, and behavioural considerations, and I am practised at watching for signs of illness. As a nurse and shift worker, I am flexible in my schedule and have a caring, conscientious, professional attitude. I am responsible and respectful of your privacy and your home. I look forward to talking to you about how I can best look after your pet, as I know how important and loved your pets can truly be as members of your family. Julie and Esme were fantastic, very enthusiastic caregivers for our cat while we were away for a few days. You can tell they love animals and were very sweet and patient with our shy guy, eventually winning him over. They are also very conscientious and responsible, taking notes during our meet and greet to make sure to get all the care instructions right. Loved having peace of mind while we were away. Priceless! Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
Julie and Esmé did some drop-in visits for my cat. They were friendly, obviously adore animals, and gave my cat his medication. I received photos every day and would highly recommend them.
Julie has been a very caring and patient dog caregiver for my dog Che for quite sometime. She is always quick with praise when warranted and very understanding and patient when the dog acts like a dog! I have no doubt she would be a strong asset to the Rover team.
