I'm the animal whisperer @the party
Pet care experience
For several consecutive years (starting June of 2018), I'd been Wag! certified and served over 500 assignments, achieved several badges along the way and made the final decisions about the platform after much deliberation of the company's tech standards for sales versus quality of service to caring families. As per my pet care moniker, however, the real start came in youth. When my little sisters & I were growing up, we started our own dogsitting and walking business locally with our neighbors. It was a great experience, plus we were raised around cats at home so this gave us a chance to get to know some pooches! We helped give dogs their medication and kept them busy playing until pooped. As I entered adulthood, I lived independently with roommates, and we had our pet cats and dogs amidst our everyday lives, of course. There was also a time in my early twenties when I formerly had a relationship with a partner who had gotten us a boxer puppy. We raised him into an adult with my 2 young cats and his 2 elderly cats. He had a very busy career life with 12 hr shifts for 7 days straight at times, so I did much of the training of our boxer pup together =) I have had the chance to pet sit for friends, roomies and coworkers, and oversaw a kitty adoption center at one point too. When it comes to animals, I've always been the one to know the specific species names, habits and habitats, and other details of animals. I have always been "the one at the party who wanders playing with the pets" haha. Now my inherent animal nerdiness can be your practical solution! And mine too =D Take full advantge of my abilities to be pet whisperer & let's make some tails wag~~

I am no longer boarding as of lately, due to the conditions of my previous landlord and some pretty major, safety-oriented repairs, I will not be boarding until I have another safe and cozy space to play and work from home.

Information Julie M. would like to know about your pet
Tell me about your dog baby =) Let me know of any stressors your dog might have, and how to get him back to top dog! Every animal has their unique personality quirks, just like people. Any dietary restrictions, allergies and medications are good to know too =) I don't think I have any breed preferences, but I do have size-to-energy preferences. The bigger and more energetic your dog is, the more you might want to consider a larger, stronger sitter option ;-) I'm a bit tiny! But I love big dogs who are on the calmer side, the gentle giants<3
A typical day
Play with toys, play interactive games, eat treats, lots of pets, nap and lounge, and there are lots of parks and green space all around a truly animal-loving neighborhood, including the famous Clark Park Dog Bowl as well as the fenced-in tennis courts of Garden Court.

Availability
It's easy, enjoyable and healthy-feeling to combine pet care with my other part time job writing and reporting as a local journalist, it balances out being zoned into writing or paying attention to people and speaking as well as sitting and researching. It helps balance my schedule, income, energy levels, health and lifestyle management. I love making new animal friends!
