Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner and animal lover my whole life! I am loving, compassionate, trustworthy and responsible. Your pets will receive a lot of attention, playtime and love from me! They will be treated as one of the family. I have raised my own puppies and cared for my senior dogs. I have fostered dogs for Norcal Golden Retreiver Rescue (where I rescued my current dog, Jax) and I have also volunteered at Pets In Need for both dogs and cats. Many friends call on me to help walk, feed and pet/housesit for them when they go out of town. Over the last 7 years, I have worked as a Personal Assistant/Home Manager for many high level executives and have cared for their homes and pets. I have over 30 years experience with cats as well. I raised my own kittens and would be happy to care for yours as well!

Julie was GREAT! She is everything you want in a dog walker. She walked and played with my puppy Piper. Julie was very responsive, accommodating and you could tell a true dog lover. I have known Julie for over 20 years. She is such a compassionate, loving, caring and fun person. She has helped me over the years with various things from home care to pet care to childcare. She has owned a dog for as long as I have known her and adores animals. I would highly recommend Julie if you want your pet to be in good hands!
I have known Julie since grade school and we have been close friends for 40 years. Julie has always had a passion and connection with all animals. Her last three golden retrievers were her pride and joy and brought her so much happiness. They went with her everywhere - the beach, car rides, Lake Tahoe and she was so talented with her photography documenting all of their excursions together. I can’t think of a more gentle, loving and engaging person to take exceptional care of any animal she is with. Julie has a heart of gold - any pet would be so lucky to have her as their companion.
If I needed a pet sitter, I cannot imagine having anyone I would choose other than Julie! She is by far one of the most conscientious pet owners I know - and I have no doubt she would care for my dogs in the same way she does her own. Julie has always been extremely good about making sure her Golden gets daily walks .. being aware of his needs, she takes special care to make sure their walks are easy and fun for him - I know she would do the same for any dogs who were her responsibility! I would trust her to take care of mine, take them on walks, or keep them on a sleepover! She is dog savvy enough to be aware of their surroundings and make sure they are always safe. She takes the care of her pets as seriously as she did the great care of her children! :)

I offer and prefer to schedule a 15-20 minute meet and greet before bookings. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are in good hands. It's helpful to meet you and your pet ahead of time and to learn more about their needs, routine and surroundings. Please let me know if your dog has any anxiety/fears or aggression issues.
A typical day
I enjoy creating fun activities and play times that are specific to your pets likes and needs and what is within their comfort level. I am active and love to be outdoors and enjoy exploring the local trails or paths. I'm very careful to keep your dog leashed and safe on walks-I cautious of our surroundings. Fetching the ball or frisbee has always been a favorite with my Golden Retrievers. I'm also happy taking it easy and just providing lots of nurturing love for pets that are older or not as active. This is their time and I'll make sure they feel loved and cared for.

I'm currently home working on small personal projects and available most weekdays, so I am very flexible and have plenty of time to care for and play with your pet or pets! I'm available most weekdays and some weekends as well.
