We have a fully fenced, medium sized yard. Our neighborhood is wonderful for walking and is close to a dog park and beach (Golden Gardens). We've had lots of pets in the past including a sweet big yellow lab, a bunch of chickens, cats, and even a tarantula. But now that we're in a smaller house and my kids are grown, we only have one dog-friendly cat. Some day I would love a dog of my own, but until then, I am trying this out. We've often done pet sitting for friends and their dogs get lots of love and attention. I am willing to take them for car rides as well.
