I have always had a pet or two in my life. From our first family dog when I was 8 (a miniature Schnauzer) to my current canine (a Great Dane), plus two cats along the way (Alex who lived to be 16 and who developed diabetes later in life; and CandIe, my current rescue cat who loves everyone and thinks she is a dog), I have loved snuggling with, caring for, training, and goofing with animals! All of my pets have lived to very old ages in a home with love, care, and consistency. I know when a pet is sad, stressed, fearful, or sick! I have the perfect mix of silliness and motherly instinct to ensure that your fur baby will thrive while in my care. I will go to any length to assure your pet's comfort and care (with your approval).

My dog (Bucket) had such a great time staying with Julie. He was actually disappointed to have to come back home after our vacation. It is obvious the day after that he misses all the attention, love, care (and Julie reading Bucket nighttime book stories). My wife and I will definitely book with Julie again although maybe next time we will send Bucket on vacation and my wife and I will stay at Julies. It's a shame that Rover limits to a 5-star rating. Julie's care for our fur baby was beyond outstanding.
Julie was so attentive and caring for our pets. We had to board our two cats and dog. The cats have never been boarded. They did so well there and were so loved. Julie sent great updates and communication while we were away.
Julie was very welcoming and worked very well with our Goldendoodle. She was flexible with drop off and pickup and made the whole experience with our first time leaving him very easy. We felt comfortable and confident with Julie’s care and approach. We will definitely work with Julie moving forward when the need arises.
Julie was amazing with my high energy pup! Her gentle giant, Ryker, and my dog played so well and Julie was wonderful about sending pictures and updates. She was very flexible and accommodating. Asher can’t wait to go back!

You really cannot go wrong if you choose to have me board your pet!I have a fenced in yard, I live on a sweet, quiet street in Downtown Plymouth, plus I have a weekly poop pick-up service to keep the yard clean at all times. I also have a spare bedroom that can be devoted to your pet(s) should they need some space occasionally while staying with me (or for the whole time, which happened with a recent client who had 3 cats). In addition, I have a Great Dane-sized crate if your pet needs to be crated. I have a happy, polite, chill Great Dane who is 6 years old and loves every dog and person he has ever met. I also have a very social cat who loves everyone she has encountered as well. Both pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and on flea treatment year round. I have a fantastic vet who is on-call 24/7. In addition, I belong to a dog park should your pup need some extra exercise/running time. Lastly, I have an 11-year-old son who LOVES animals as well. He is often eager to help me when we are boarding a pet, and he has such a sweet way with them! So in short, I have a happy, safe, loving home with the space to make your pup or cat relaxed while you are away.

A typical day
Backyard play and trips to the dog park! I have plenty of toys here and balls to chase, plus the dog park has 4 acres fenced in!!! To be allowed to go there, all dogs must be vaccinated and have their rabies shots. Also, if you chose to have your pet board with me, I recommend you have your dog/cat on flee and tick prevention (this can be bought at any pet store, and even Costco!) because my cat is an indoor/outdoor cat. ?

Availability
I just retired from teaching and have all the time in the world to tend to your pet. I love to take dogs for rides in the car, to the dog park, to downtown Plymouth to socialize, or even to the Detroit Riverwalk for a stroll, but only if you are comfortable with that It all depends on the dog!
