Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs, and as a family we have recently fostered two dogs and a cat (one at a time). We aren't able to have a long-term, forever pet, so dog-sitting is a great way for us to enjoy a pet and help someone out whose dog needs daytime or vacation-time care. We are ready to give your dog lots of love and attention!

Wonderful experience. Julie and her daughters took great care of my two cats. I will definitely book her services again if and when I go out of town. Julie was very accommodating and always gave me updates on how my kitties were doing. I don't think my kitties wanted to go home when I went to pick them up 😂
Julie and family were absolutely amazing. Our two pups warmed up to them immediately, and her home and yard is both beautiful and safe. We loved how her daughters knew exactly how to handle dogs. Best sitter ever, and we’re excited to make more trips out of Santa Barbara and Montecito knowing Julie and her family are around!

We have a fenced yard with shade and sun, some grass, and a patio, and during nice weather we like to keep the back door open. I will supervise your dog and prefer to have him or her near me while I work on my computer, at least until I know your dog well. We have two respectful, responsible kids (ages 9 and 12) who love playing with and giving attention to animals. There are no other pets in the house.

We prefer small, well-mannered family dogs over 3 years old who do not jump up on people. Our yard has a tall fence, but the gate is only 3.5 feet high, so we will not take dogs who would be inclined to jump that height.
A typical day
We provide a quiet, calm, environment for your dog to relax in, whether he or she is happiest in a lap, on the couch, sleeping in a sunny spot, or running around the backyard. My kids and I will play with your dog in whatever way he or she prefers, whether it's doing tricks, playing fetch or tug of war, or belly rubs and cuddles.

Availability
I work from home on a flexible schedule and I would love to have a dog around the house! You can drop off your dog during the day while you're away at work, or have your dog stay overnight at our house while you're on vacation. I occasionally leave the house for short errands such as grocery shopping or picking up kids from school, but otherwise I am home. I can take your dog for a 30-minute walk around the neighborhood. My kids will be over the moon to pet, cuddle, and play with your dog.
