Canine Cottage in Fenced 3 Acres

I spent 8 years working with the best partner in the world; a canine. After 20 years in law enforcement I am excited to pursue my dream of building a cottage for canines where I can provide a safe and fun environment for guests and fosters. We have always had a dog or two at home with us and while traveling around the country living in our motor home. Our friends have been known to bring their furry family members with them to our pet friendly home while visiting for a day or weekend. The canine cottage is best suited for medium to large dogs. Small dogs will be considered but a meet and greet is necessary.

Julie has a wonderful set up for the dogs. She is thoughtful in her contact with the owner, and my girl seemed to have a great time! I would not hesitate to use Julie again.
This is a 5-Wag doggie hotel! Seriously, the accommodations are clean and homey, with individual decks in the runs and a resort pool to splash in. Daily walks within the fenced acreage make it a great place for dogs who like the great outdoors. The kennel clubhouse is air conditioned and very comfy. Beds are provided but Julie was flexible and welcomed the favored blankies and toys we brought. My very skittish dog Missy actually allowed some petting during the stay, a real testament to Julie’s sincere affection for the dogs in her care. I can heartily recommend her services and will use her again!
Julie is an amazing person! We are definitely using her services again. Our boy has a really tough time being away from us and she really pulled out all the stops to make his stay so comfortable. I highly recommend her if your fur baby has a difficult time being around other dogs like ours does. She is simply the best!
I contacted Julie very last minute in need of help, as an added bonus my puppy was just neutered 3 days prior. Julie was fast to respond and so very kind. She accepted Winston without hesitation. Her place is perfect for dogs and she’s the perfect sitter. We all love her and are so thankful to have found her!

I have a three acre lot that is fenced. Near our home I have a climate controlled ‘Canine Cottage’. Each suite in the cottage has a doggy bed, elevated feeding/watering and a pet door that leads to a large (approx 30ft long) outdoor fenced run. Each outdoor run has a deck for our guests and artificial grass on about half of the run. Our guests can stay in their suite at night or sleep under the stars on their deck. During the day they can play in the 3 acre fenced area while supervised. We do have a pool with a beach entry that is a great place to cool down after a run around the property. I will always provide supervised separate feedings unless I have dogs from the same home that can be fed together. I have cameras in each dog’s suite and outdoor run so you can view your pup while your away. If your dog likes to walk, we can head out of the fenced area (on a leash) and walk to our stream and around the rest of the property. Lots to smell!!! Plenty to investigate!! Seniors are always special to me and the cottage is a great place for them. With only four suites, it has a home like feeling in a quieter more relaxed environment. My goal is to provide your pup with a safe, fun environment where he/she will enjoy their stay. By accomplishing that goal, I hope to lessen the stress on you that you may encounter when you can’t bring your four leg family member with you. I have experience in administrating medicines including shots.

Will your dog jump a fence? We have one suite that is set up for a jumper with a 5 foot horse fence on the outside run. It has also been set up with fencing buried so that a digger won't get out (been there, done that). So any habits of digging or jumping should be mentioned and I can make sure they get the right suite.
A typical day
We have approximately 17 acres. The front 3-4 is fenced. The back 13-14 is wooded with ATV trails. We have a flowing stream that our dogs love to visit and 'rescue' the many sticks that find themselves thrown into the stream. If you prefer your canine not to get in the water, we can bypass that and walk the trails and they can 'read the paper' at leisure.

Availability
I am currently retired and love to be outside. I have plenty of time for play, walks and sitting in the swing scratching a head...or butt. Lots of toys and plenty of space for independent play and adventure or group play with my dogs.
