Veterinary Nurse To Pet Sit
Pet care experience
Take comfort in knowing you are leaving your pet with an experienced and responsible pet sitter. I have years of experience in caring for animals both personally and professionally. I’ve lived with animals my entire life and began caring for pets professionally over 25 years ago. My career with animals began as a volunteer for the CT Humane Society and shortly after began working in the veterinary field -which I have continued to do for the last 15 years. I have lived and worked all over, but I currently reside in Somerville, MA and work at a local veterinary clinic as a veterinary technician or nurse. As a veterinary nurse, I assist veterinarians in appointments and surgery by administering oral and injectable medications, as well as administering vaccinations, taking x-rays, administering subcutaneous fluids, clipping and cleaning wounds, taking blood pressure, phlebotomy, and educating pet parents. Because of my training I will be very in tune to your pet's needs and quick to identify injury or illness (not that I expect either during my time with them.) I care about animals and their well-being so much that I have chosen to make it my career. I will love and treat your pet as I would my own. Reviews
Julie was fantastic with our cats while we were out of town, always sending pictures and updates, and immediately letting us know if anything unusual happened. The cats were both huge fans as well!
Julie took wonderful care of my cat Boris while I was away! She was super diligent and attentive about sending me regular updates, and even offered to refill our bird feeder for Boris to enjoy. She was also very knowledgeable about insulin administration, and I felt very comfortable leaving my diabetic boy in her care. Additionally, she was responsive and flexible about extending the booking when my travel plans unexpectedly changed, which I really appreciated.
Julie was amazing! Both of my cats require liquid medications at this time and it was my first time leaving them with this need and using Rover. Julie was a pro and made me feel at ease each day she visited and took care of them. Would happily reach out to Julie again.
Jules did a wonderful job and made us feel so comfortable leaving our cats for the first time. She sent us tons of photos of them and showed them so much love.

Information Julie D. would like to know about your pet
I’d love to know if your pet has any medical needs or any behavioral habits you’re trying to work on. I also would like to know their quirks, likes, and dislikes.
A typical day
When am with your pet I treat them as I treat my own. I spend all of my free time with them - most likely talking to them the entire time. I love going for walks and playing. I am also down to cuddle. If there is a particular park your dog enjoys or a toy your cat loves, let me know! Extra house-sitting services: I'm always willing to water plants, bring out trash cans, bring in your mail, or run to the store to pick up extra food for your pet.

When I stay in your home to care for your pet I spend all of my free time there to support and continue their daily routine. I do hold a full-time job as a veterinary technician and typically work four days a week.
