Pet care experience
For several years I have been caring for assorted pets while friends have gone out of town. I tend to be a dog person, but frequently care for 3 cats in one home. I enjoy playing with pets inside my house as well as throwing toys to dogs in my fenced yard. Most allow me to comb them regularly and all of the dogs I take on walks in the neighborhood. (I’ve gotten comfortable with 3 leashes so far, but have not had the opportunity to try 4 at one time yet.) I respect and honor the owners’ feeding and treat policies, furniture rules, and carefully administer any medicines supplied. Usually the pets have full run of my house-unless behavior issues require temporary confinement into separate rooms. My work is appropriately 18 minutes away so I am able to return home at lunchtime, if necessary. I am happy to have multiple pets here, (especially from the same household) but I am also willing to restrict my house to ONLY your precious pup if the presence of other dogs is an issue. Just be sure I know this critical piece of info when we book your reservation.

She was great with the Captain. I have never used this before and it was his first stay at someone’s home without me. She gave me great updates and was great with him. I’m was very happy with how she handled him and made sure all his needs were well met.

Another great stay at Julie's! Cairo was so excited to be there and he got long walks even when it was freezing cold and raining. We can't wait to visit again soon.
Julie was friendly, knowledgeable and on time. My intention was to interview her & an additional sitter before completely booking this overnight placement. Julie’s friendliness, demeanor and attitude with Lola won me over. She walked her, threw the ball and lounged with her just as if she were the owner. Lola loved her time there . She came back to us without any bad havits or personality changes. In our opinion, Julie is a trustworthy lady who we will use again.

My fenced in yard enables outdoor play, but I never leave dogs out there unsupervised. Pets have full run of the house unless behavior mandates restrictions. Feeding is always done in separate rooms. Treats earned by good behavior & goals accomplished.

Because there is one dog present in the home, dogs that need special care must be screened prior to placement. Separate spaces are available and most non-violent behavior issues can be accommodated.
A typical day
I enjoy playing with dogs, reinforcing skills they have learned, and taking walks in the neighborhood early each morning, right after I return from work, and shortly before dark. We also play with a variety of toys inside the house as well as in the backyard.

Availability
I have a 1 yr old border collie and we take morning and evening walks in the neighborhood. The back yard is fenced to also accommodate outdoor play. Evening or weekend trips to a dog park are also options.
