Pet care experience
I love dogs and cats! And I love to walk and run! Looking forward to combining these loves. I am a long-time pet owner. We have had dogs in our family for the past 30 years (Friday, a standard poodle mix, and two Springer Spaniels, Nick and Freckles). Those Springers are high energy dogs and I am quite used to taking long walks/runs with them! We also had a cute black and white kitty named Marie. Please know that I will treat your pet like one of ours (spoiled, of course!). We are just moving back to Chicago from the suburbs and I look forward to having time to spend with new furry friends. You can be assured that your precious pet will be well cared for.

Julie is the best dogsitter we have ever had. She was so great with our pup who can be a nervous gal, and she made her feel right at home. It was like a vacation for our dog, with walks to the beach and parks every day. Julie is so kind and communicative as well, keeping us updated throughout our dogs stay. We have a small but nice patio out back to hang out, but I love to walk dogs in the neighborhood, and if they are up to it, we walk to Lincoln Park. If I am dropping in to feed your kitty, rest assured I will give her lots of attention.

A typical day
Some dogs can play fetch for hours, and I’m there for them. I try to match my energy to that of the dog that I am watching. Sometimes, we just cuddle on the couch, if the dog is lower energy.
