No ruff days, while you’re away!

Pet care experience

I currently live in Ann Arbor Michigan and I am going to school for nursing. I am a huge Michigan, and Red Wings fan and I love to spend my free time outside and doing yoga. I’m a very neat and organized person. I have been a dog lover my entire life and have always been around animals growing up. I had a 13-year-old Jack Russell/Miniature Pincher mix named Tucker, who had diabetes and was partly blind, so taking care of animals with medical needs is no problem for me. I also have a 7 year old orange cat named zipper, who thinks he’s more of a dog than a cat. My family just adopted a 4 month old German Shepherd, Terrier mix from the HVHS that we named Bear. So taking care of puppies and being on a puppy like schedule is no problem for me. I have been dog walking/dog sitting for about 5-6 years. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can maintain any schedules you have for your dog while you are away. I am also very active so it is not a problem for me to take your dog out for a long walk/run and give it some exercise if they need it. I will also make sure your dog gets extra love and snuggles while you're away! I know how important furry family members are and it is my goal to take the absolute best care of them when you are gone!

Julie took good care of our 2 dogs and cat while we were away. Upon returning home the house was clean and linens had been cleaned and placed back on the bed. Julie did a great job. We will hire her again when the time comes.

Julie did a great job with Mikey (my shetland sheepdog) and Abby (his kitty). She took extra care to ensure that the home was clean for my return which was much appreciated. I will be booking her again in the future!

Julie was a terrific pet-sitter. She was reliable, sent us pictures nearly every day, took good care of our house and was very loving to Maizie. 5 stars!!

Julie did an amazing job watching our young dog and two cats while we were on vacation. She sent us lots of pictures which helped reassure us that all was going well. And she kept us posted on the whereabouts of one our difficult cats that likes to go out, but not come back in. She kept the house tidy and the animals were clearly well cared for in our absence. We will definitely hire her again.

Information Julie B. would like to know about your pet

I am comfortable with any dog breeds. I've watched dogs as big as Great Danes to as little as Chihuahuas. Before watching a dog I usually like to meet the owner(s) and dog before watching them to just get introduced to them and let them get comfortable with me. That way the owners and I can also go through the dogs daily routine and they can get to know me better. If the owner(s) are not able to meet beforehand then I would like to know the dogs routine and any sort of habits I should know about the dog. Like if it gets into the trash, is it scared of storms, does it have dietary restrictions, etc.

A typical day

I will take your dog on walks around the neighborhood, If you are comfortable with your dog going to other locations, the main walking sports I like to go to are the Barton Dam, Bandemer Park, Nichols Arboretum, Boardway dog park, and Bird Hills Nature Area. When I take dogs to other locations for walks I always have a to-go bag that has the essentials, poop bags, water, water bowl, some toys (ball or frisbee), a few treats, and a towel. If your dog has other close dog friends that live nearby I will do doggy playdates with his friends while I am taking care of them, if that is something you would like.
