At our Marin Doggie Getaway, we guarantee only one dog at a time! This means you can vacation easy knowing that your dog won't be in a crowded, stressful atmosphere while you're gone! Your dog will get constant one-on-one attention and daily adventures into the hills and beaches of Marin. As a long time animal lover, and a previous veterinary technician, I have dedicated most of my life to the care and well being of animals! At our doggie hotel (a quiet home in San Rafael with a fenced in yard) we promise a daily hike and/or beach outing, and always a place to sleep in our king size bed! We recently adopted our exuberant and happy dog Olive, who absolutely loves being a host! We strive for both a fun AND a stress free environment for your dog. Because of this, and for everyone's sanity, we only accept 1 dog at a time. Exceptions to this are two dogs from the same household (both must be under ~30 lbs) Our History: At our Marin Getaway, safety is our #1 priority. I completed my undergrad in pre-veterinary Animal Science, and then gained valuable experience as a vet tech for four years. I recently decided to move forward with a career in human medicine, but my love for animals will always remain dear to my heart! Wes and I make a great team and promise to provide your dog with lots of love while you're gone. Both of us grew up with dogs, and have spent countless hours volunteering at animal shelters and fostering puppies. Our dog Olive: Olive is a young and happy dog. She loves to play and have fun, and is good at reading other dogs. Our Yard and House: There is a fenced and terraced backyard; we like to hang outside and relax in the sun. Our home is one level so there are no stairs! Medications: I was a vet tech for four years so I am able to administer any oral medication and/or any injectable medications.
