Pet care experience
My name is Julie, I'm 30 years old, and I live in Milford but am frequently in Ann Arbor and metro Detroit. I have raised two puppies for service dog non-profit PAWS With a Cause (2019--2021) and have extensive experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I am taking a hiatus from raising puppies, but I still puppy-sit for other raisers in the program regularly. I also have three cats at home and have administered medicine to them with regularity. Otherwise, I am a researcher in social and environmental justice at UM, and in my spare time I play bridge professionally, am getting back into gym climbing, and have long-range dreams of building up a homestead where I currently live.

My house is still very well puppy-proofed from raising puppies here for nearly three years. I have a dog zipline and multiple acres (unfenced), as well as two crates (one metal, one canvas pop-up), and many assorted toys, kongs, bowls, leashes, etc.

A typical day
I have a few "mental stimulation" tricks for dogs (e.g. rolling up treats in a towel and tying it) that I picked up from raising puppies for the service dog non-profit. I taught each of the puppies 30+ commands, including the basics, and more difficult ones like "under," "heel," "wait/"

Availability
I work full time, but my work schedule is flexible and I have freedom to work remotely 2-4 days per week, depending on the week. I can stay overnight and take long lunch breaks depending on the needs of the pets.
