Pet care experience
I am active, healthy, positive and loving. I love dogs and cats. I cannot imagine a life without them. I have had dogs and cats all of my life in every place where I have lived: Alaska, Eastern Washington and Seattle. I have cared for pets at all stages of their lives, from puppies and kittens to older, senior dogs and cats. My own beloved yellow lab, Izzy, died at age 14 and I cared for her to the end of her wonderful, long life. I am currently caring for a diabetic cat who gets insult with his meals, twice each day. I started seriously pet setting after I retired from 40 years of teaching I I provide quality care based on knowledge and experience so that owners know their pets and home are safe and lovingly cared for in their absence. Julianne was great! I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her. She communicated timely, sent pictures and had a great attitude.
Homer enjoyed his stay with Julianne. He's normally fairly shy, at first, but even at the meet and greet he was jumping up on the couch to sit by her. She kept us updated and kept him to his usual schedule which made it easy for us when we brought him home, no transition! Definitely will book with her again.
Julianne made an effort to help Wren feel comfortable and accommodate her with her toys and treats. It didn't take long before I got a photo with her curled up on the couch with Julianne.
Julianne is wonderful. Kingsley came back calmer than his two previous sitters, and I recognize now that he did not have a great time with them- because he clearly enjoyed his time with Julianne. In the future, I'll have her stay at the house, since the city seems a bit stressful for him, but Julianne did a great job in keeping my velcro dog happy.

Even though I helped start Magnuson Off Leash area, I prefer not to take dogs to the dog park where they can meet with aggressive dogs.

A typical day
I will walk your dog, play fetch and catch, provide lots of tummy and ear rubs. I have lot of experience caring for dogs. I am calm and reassuring for your pet as he/she adjust to a new person. I will spend time with your cat in whatever way he/she likes. Many love being groomed and/or petted. Others prefer being left alone!

Availability
For dogs, and cats I provide care at your home. I am a writer and. retired so my schedule is flexible depending on you and your pet's needs. I prefer to stay in your home with you cat because they are happier in their own territory. I can also care for your dog in hig/her home or bring your dog to my condo. We have a large fenced property with safe trails and are located next door to a Bittrlake park.
