I really hate to do this, but I feel like I have to warn anyone potentially thinking of leaving their pet with her. We had an emergency and had to find someone quick. She answered quickly and we dropped off our dog the next morning. She didn’t let us in her house which was kind of weird, but whatever. I gave her the instructions for taking care of him, she assured us that he would be fine and well taken care of. I texted the next day to see how he was and she said he was soaking wet so he had to dry out in a cage overnight. I was devastated. If we wanted him in a cage, we would have boarded him in a kennel. She wasn’t sending any pictures so I specifically asked if she could send some. She sent one and that is the only one we got for the whole week we were gone. I asked again and she said she would take another and send it, but she didn’t. When we got there to pick him up, she wasn’t even there. She knew what time we would be getting there, but said I’ll be there in a few minutes. We had been driving all day to get to him and didn’t make any stops just so we could get to him sooner. We finally knocked on the door anyway, because lights were on and her dad came out. He got the dogs things together and we left. She could have told us that he was there instead of making us wait. When we got in the car, Rigby was cry whining the whole way home, which he has NEVER done when we have picked him up from somewhere before. We got home, he acted starving and dying of thirst. Then we noticed that all of the dinner packets were still in the bag. Did she even feed him??? They were the packers that you mix into dry dog food, but he almost never eats his food when that’s not in the food. The dog food had noticeably less food in it, so I’m hoping he ate, but there were at least 2 other dogs there, so I really don’t know if Rigby was the one who ate it. The only good thing was that she did answer texts very quickly.
