I grew up in an animal loving family and have always been surrounded by cats and dogs. Being a young professional in DC though means that I can't have a dog and while my cat is a great furry friend, I miss having a dog around. So I joined Rover since it let's me play with dogs and get some exercise while helping you care for your furry friend. I've had three dogs throughout my life, an amazing black lab who died at age 12, a chocolate lab, age 8, and a terrier mix, age 4. I also help walk and care for my elderly neighbors two dogs, a rather large golden retriever and a brand new puppy. All of these great dogs have had different levels of energy and totally unique personalities that has made being around them all the more fun. I have experience going on long rungs with our hyper chocolate lab, short walks with our black lab as she got older, and our terrier has a unique personality that makes walks and potty breaks an adventure! I have experience with senior dogs, picky dogs, dogs who get anxious when they're owners leave, dogs with large personalities, and dogs on medication and special diets. I'm happy to do morning/evening runs and quick potty breaks over lunch, as well as to simply hang out with your dog so that they don't feel alone when you're gone.
