Auntie is Coming to Visit

Pet care experience

There is no greater joy than a well-loved animal at play! I started caretaking others' pets and homes to put myself through school in San Fransisco in 2012, but my pet-sitting experience started much earlier than that. Having grown up on a small farm, I've been caretaking animals since I was little. I have a soft spot for senior animals and have cared for many, but I genuinely enjoy caring for all ages and breeds. I have a wealth of experience administering subcutaneous fluid, working with puppies, providing medications and cleaning up elder doggie incontinence. My favorite breed is a happy furry!

Our regular dog/house sitter cancelled on us with three weeks notice. A sitter I had booked months in advance. Trying to find a new sitter is very stressful as you want your pets to have the best possible care in your absence. Having selected a few from the Rover site. Juliann responded to our initial request. We are so happy that she did. Juliann requested a meet and great to see if our dogs where a good fit for her. Upon meeting Juliann we were completely confident in her ability to provide excellent care for ours dogs and our home in our absence. Juliann is by far the best dog/house sitter we have ever had. She arrived on time and and sent us updates and photos daily. Our dogs wanted for nothing. Juliann went way above and beyond. Our dogs loved their time with her. Our home was spotless when we arrived back from our trip. Juliann even went as far as to wash all the bed linens and remake the bed in our bedroom. We can’t say enough about quality of care she provided. We where extremely lucky to have found Juliann on the Rover site and you will be too! She is simply the best.

Juliann watched our cat and dog while we were away for a long weekend. She did a wonderful job keeping us informed by sending photos and giving us regular updates. Highly recommend her.

"Leave a place better than you found it" is a quote I live by. I bring my own towels and bedding; I'll just need a bed with a bottom sheet which will be washed before leaving. Your home will be ready for you to snug into bed with the knowledge that everything is washed and sanitized ensuring you won't have to worry about cleaning after returning from a trip.

Information Juliann C. would like to know about your pet

My protocol is to first have a short phone call before setting a time for an in-person meet-and-greet. During the call we will check in about any special needs; allergies, arthritis or aggressive behavior that I need to be mindful of. We will go over any medications or special diet/s. Does your dog respond well to commands? Do they beg for food? Social or separation anxiety? I do ask that the emergency contact, including your vet and the local animal hospital, be on the fridge. During our in-person meet and greet, we can go over the feeding routine and average day in their lives. You can show me where I will be staying as well. This time will also be about letting your furry get my scent and share their thoughts about me being in their home. Their opinion matters too!

A typical day

Different dogs have different needs, breed is always the best indicator of needs + temperament. I am a nature woman. If there is a trail in range, your furry and I will be on it! Letting them get in some good smelling as well as exercise. If possible, taking them to a dog park to socialize is always a plus! Cats will be respected; as they expect to be. Heehee!
