Pet care experience
My name is Juliana! I’ve been providing pet care services through Rover since 2021. I've had pets to care for from a very young age and have personal experience taking care of rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, dogs (ranging from 3-60lbs.), cats and fish. I graduated from UC Davis in 2021 with a degree in Environmental Science and Management, took courses in Animal Behavior and was a volunteer caretaker for horses in the Guardian Angel Program. Graduating at the tail end of the pandemic, I wanted to take some time to focus on myself and stay in Davis! I found Rover and have loved every moment of it. Before coming to Davis for college, I volunteered in my hometown's animal shelter for years, working with cats and dogs of varying ages, breeds and personality types! I worked at a local pet store, and interned every summer at the Oakland Zoo’s children's education program. I've loved animals my whole life and strive to always be learning how to give them the best care possible, starting with my own furbabies - Finn the dog, Bean Sprout the guinea pig (RIP) and Doink the Beta Fish (RIP)! I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member, and am happy to accommodate any specific requests that can help make sure your pet is happy too!
Reviews
Juliana loves our fur babies unlike anyone else! And the best part of being away is knowing how much they are loving her company at the same time. Juliana has become a part of their family.
Juliana has built a top level of trust with our kitties. We know they are completely attended to when we are away which gives us complete comfort they are both well taken care of and well-loved. Juliana is an incredibly easy, cheerful, and dedicated pet sitter and we are so grateful to have her in our world!
Juliana is so thoughtful and caring. She always gives a detailed recap & lots of photos! I feel very confident leaving my pup with her
Juliana has cared for my cat numerous times and always does an amazing job. She follows our care notes, provides detailed report card updates, and takes lots of photos. I'm always grateful when Juliana is available when I'm out of town!

My main priority is making sure your pet is the center of attention while your away! I understand that every furry friend is different, so no drop-in/daycare/boarding will be alike. We will discuss details of care prior to booking. Drop-in’s can include a walk or just potty and playtime! I prefer to keep a pet’s routine as close to what they’re used to as possible, and will plan for mealtimes, walks, playtimes, naps etc accordingly. I'm not afraid of messes and understand that sometimes nature calls! I will do my best to clean up at every visit and keep your home and your animal's space tidy.

A typical day
My home is all about being pet friendly so we always start our days with cuddles on the bed or couch while listening to morning jazz. We’ll do a short morning potty sniffari before breakfast time. I like to incorporate enrichment (puzzles, snuffle, training, jumping games) into every mealtime to help keep those doggy brains engaged and happy while their pawrents are away. The rest of the day will depend on what our furry friends are in the mood for! I like to make sure they get designated nap times with white noise on, so that no one gets overstimulated with new friends around. We will go on at least one 45 minute walk per day. If I have extra time, I love getting in our Prius and going on field trips to new sniffing areas (I will check-in before driving your dog anywhere). My own dog is never alone at home for more than 5 hours, however I know that some doggies do better being alone than others! If your dog is younger, older or has separation anxiety I will make sure to plan accordingly so that they are only alone for as long as they, and you, are comfortable with. Dinner time also involves enrichment with food and a toothbrush treat. I use a hypoallergenic paw cleaner on all our visiting pups either after a dirty walk or before bedtime.

I’m happy to say that pet care is my full time job! I have clients with weekly repeating schedules on the weekdays and take one-time bookings in the other time slots, including weekends for pawrents taking short-term or long-term trips. I schedule meet & greet’s any day of the week, although weekdays are preferred if possible. I strongly prefer to have meet & greet in person before each booking so that I can meet your furry family member in your presence! If you are unable to meet in person, I’m happy to talk video chat or talk on the phone.
