Your Furry Friend in Good Paws!
Pet care experience
As a lifelong animal lover, I have always been drawn to opportunities to work with and care for animals. In my early teens, I had the opportunity to work at an animal shelter, which was an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience. However, it was my experience with my own dog, a spunky 8-year-old Chihuahua named Lucy, that really solidified my love for all things furry and four-legged. Lucy came into my life as a rescue when she was just a pup, and she quickly became my constant companion and source of endless joy. As a Chihuahua, lucy is known for her feisty personality and big attitude, and she certainly lives up to that reputation. But what she lacks in size, she makes up for in heart and loyalty. When I first started working at the animal shelter, I was struck by the incredible diversity of animals that come through its doors. From cats and dogs to rabbits, birds, and even reptiles, the shelter was home to a wide variety of creatures, each with their own unique needs and personalities. As an animal care worker, I was responsible for providing basic care for the animals, including feeding, cleaning, and socializing with them. I quickly learned that each animal had their own quirks and preferences, and that understanding and responding to those needs was key to helping them thrive and find their forever homes. Through my work at the shelter and my experiences with lucy, I came to appreciate the incredible bond that exists between humans and animals. Whether it's a Chihuahua like lucy or a Great Dane, a cat or a bird, animals have a way of bringing joy, comfort, and companionship into our lives that is truly unique. Today, I continue to be involved in animal science and care, and I am grateful every day for the lessons that my experiences with lucy and the shelter have taught me. I believe that all animals deserve love, care, and respect, and I feel honored to have the opportunity to contribute to that mission in my own small way.
Reviews
Wonderful experience with Juliana as she did an awesome job taking care of our Toby. She kept in touch with us and provided pictures/videos of him. I highly recommend her and look forward to her watching our Toby again.
Juliana did a fantastic job with our dog, Bistro. He requires a lot of extra attention and daily medication, and Juliana made sure he got both. She took great care of our house as well, watering plants and picking up the mail and newspaper. Our house was clean and neat when we got home, and Bistro was happy and obviously well-cared for.
Juliana was wonderful with my pup and was literally the sweetest! He loved her too and she made sure he was all worn out by the time she left.
Always punctual and feels good knowing Juliana will be dropping in as Discussed to take care of Finn! She does amazing with her!

Safety, trust & environment
As a pet sitter, I prioritize the safety, trust, and environment of every pet that I care for, whether they are in my own home or in the client's home. In my home, I ensure that all potential hazards are removed or secured, including toxic substances, small objects that could be ingested, and potentially dangerous household items such as sharp objects or hot appliances. I also make sure that any other pets or children in the home are properly introduced to the visiting pet, and that all animals are supervised at all times. When caring for a pet in the client's home, I take the time to thoroughly assess the environment and identify any potential hazards or risks. I make sure that the pet has access to fresh water, food, and a comfortable space to rest, and I also take into consideration any special needs or requirements that the pet may have, such as medication or dietary restrictions. In both scenarios, I prioritize trust by establishing a strong rapport with the pet and the owner. This includes spending time getting to know the pet's personality and preferences, maintaining open communication with the owner, and providing regular updates and photos while the pet is in my care. Overall, my approach to caring for pets is centered on creating a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment that promotes their well-being and happiness.
Information Juliana G. would like to know about your pet
Medical conditions and medications: It is important to know if the dog has any medical conditions or is on any medications, including the dosage and timing of administration. Allergies and dietary requirements: I should know if the dog has any allergies and any special dietary requirements or restrictions. Temperament and behavior: Understanding the dog's temperament and behavior is crucial. Knowing if the dog is friendly with other animals, how it behaves on a leash, and its response to strangers and children will help me prepare for any potential challenges. Exercise and activity needs: Knowing how much exercise the dog needs and what types of activities it enjoys will help me plan out daily routines and ensure that the dog gets enough physical activity and mental stimulation. Contact information for the owner and emergency contacts: Having contact information for the dog's owner and emergency contacts is essential in case of any emergencies or unexpected situations. By gathering this information ahead of time, i can provide the best possible care for the dog and ensure a safe and comfortable experience for both the dog and the owner.
A typical day
A typical day would involve feeding your lovely animal, letting them out if advised, and spending time playing with them. For fun activities, I would engage in playing fetch or tug-of-war. The goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for the animals.
