Pet care experience
My childhood was packed. I grew up around multiple animals (including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and even ferrets) alongside siblings for at least 10 years, so I’ve got care and attention down pat. I can confidently say I know how to take care of animals and make them feel happy and loved! I’ve been on countless walks and have rewarded good behavior with petting and treats, and I always remember to refill water and give food when required.

I reside with my aunt at the moment, who has dogs of her own, making it incompatible to house dogs with me because one of the dogs are naturally hostile towards other animals. That being said, that dog has met other animals and we’ve had to restrain and teach them that other animals have the same rights they do. I therefore understand how to prevent animals from entering conflict and bring peace. I also know how to talk sternly but gently to discourage unfavorable behavior (lots of licking, mounting, humping, biting, etc.). In general, I make sure any animal is satisfied and not misbehaving effectively to both the animal’s and owner’s satisfaction.

Typically I only require amounts of food and when to feed, how often i should take walks with them, and learn which words they’ve been trained to listen for. I’ll always ask for specifics and nuances just in case, but I have a natural inclination for care, so I often don’t need much more than previously stated.
A typical day
The dogs I live with don’t require too much. They of course love attention and playing around, and I’ll participate pretty much on a whim, but for the most part, they’re content doing whatever satisfies them. A usual day consists of going outside and playing fetch or tug of war, and on the off chance there’s a run to the store or gas station required, the dogs are ALWAYS excited for the return; they act like anyone’s been gone for a millennia, even if it was just 5 minutes.

Availability
I struggle with depression among other things, and it makes it really hard to keep a regular job, so unless I have a special event or date I’m attending, my schedule will always be available. Send a text and we can set up a meeting immediately. (I’m on medication that I take at night and it makes me drowsy and keeps me asleep for about 10-12 hours avg., so generally reach out to me at or past 12:00 PM, otherwise I can’t guarantee an instant response).
