Pet care experience
I have experience of working in a veterinary hospital as a veterinary assistant with dogs, cats, and plenty of other small animals! Also, I have been working with and riding horses for 15 years. I currently attend Grand Valley State University, I major in pre veterinary medicine. I have gained lots of experience from situations including horses, dogs, and cats while working in a barn and at a veterinary hospital as a veterinary assistant. My schedule is very flexible year round, and I am almost always out and about! Currently, I have a chessie/chocolate lab mix (neutered) named Zeek and a black Labrador retriever named Finley. As a fellow animal lover, I can’t wait to see all of the wagging tails and happy faces on your pets!!!

Julia was fantastic! She kept up with my giant 1 year old puppy with no problems and even made a chart so I knew that he kept to his food and med schedule (among other details). I booked my next boarding trip before this one even ended!

It is important to know ahead of time if a dog has a health conditions that restrict him/her from certain activities. It is also important to know if the dog has any food allergies, fears, anxiety triggers, and most importantly- favorite snacks/toys!
A typical day
For the fur babies that like other dogs, my dog loves to play tug and “tag” outside with other dogs, we also do lots of enrichment with toys and fun feeding games. I live close to lots of trails as well, which my dog loves walking on (when it’s not tick season)!

Availability
I am a full time college student which requires a lot of time during the week, but with having two dogs myself pet care has become a part of my daily routine. This includes waking up 2 hours earlier than necessary to exercise my dogs, coming home between classes to give potty breaks, and providing mental stimulation and enrichment (tired puppies are good puppies)!
