Rescue animals are my life!
Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals since I was a little girl. I have two sugar gliders (marsupials from Australia) and a rescue dog currently, but have had 2 rescue horses and a rescue senior cat in the past, all of which have required me to learn how to adapt to each animal's unique personality, history, and needs. I have babysat other families and friends dogs and other fur-babies for over 10 years, as well. From abused pitbulls with extreme anxiety and fear of humans, paralyzed doggies who need to be lifted in and out of wheelchairs, all the way to goats, sheep, and even burros. I have worked at multiple animal rescues, and served as a Volunteer Coordinator in my most recent role, teaching volunteers how to run a doggie daycare, so have the experience with safe and supervised play with all types of dogs (both client and rescue).

Julia’s warm welcome and love for Ellie made it easy for me to leave Ellie in her care for her first time away from home. Ellie had so much fun and was so comfortable in Julia’s home i don’t think she even noticed I had gone nor was she ready to come back home! Julia and Elora are family now and we look forward to spending time with them again soon!
Our dogs love Julia! She sends pics and the dogs always look so relaxed and happy. She is EXTREMELY responsible and trustworthy. We enjoy our vacations so much more when Julia stays, because we know how happy our dogs are with her!
Julia took great care with our 2 dogs. When we got home, they were excited to see us, but they weren't stressed that we were away. I will definitely request Julia again since the dogs really seemed to like her.

I have a 1/3 acre property right by the lake, so if your dog enjoys going on walks, swimming, or playing in a big backyard, I have you covered! I also have my own rescue pup, a medium sized 1 year old named Elora who loves every person and every dog she meets. She is part German shepherd, Australian cattle dog, and husky (and a lot super mutt).

I would like to know the breed, the size, and whether or not the dog has any nervous habits, fears, or allergies. I would also like a detailed instruction list of what your dog needs and routines it likes every day, as I like to make sure that dogs are as comfy as possible without their own person around. I would also like to have Vet contact information readily available as well.
A typical day
I love to mimic the dogs routine they are used to as best as I can, so that when their pawrents leave, they are still doing what they like to do and what they are used to doing. Whether thats walks, hikes, trips to the beach, or a specific nightly routine with specific toys/treats, I want to keep your fur baby as happy and relaxed as possible while their pawrents are gone!
