Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Julia! I'm a BioE PhD student who is very excited to get to know your pet :) I grew up with dogs and often took care of and helped train neighbors and family friend's pets (and taught their dogs how to swim!) as well as babysat their kids. As a grad student, I can't currently have my own dog, but I would love nothing more than to help take care of yours and would treat them with the same care as if they were my own dog! I can meet you pup wherever they are at and can be as active as necessary for playing or walks. I'm an avid hiker, biker, and climber - if you have a highly active dog, I can do my best to tire them out! Walking, quality playing time and lots of scratches are my favorite ways to spend time with pets.

When our Black lab joined our family as an energetic untrained puppy, we were fortunate to have Julia help us train and take care of him. She was patient, knowledgable, and fun loving. Julia always has a smile on her face and loves running and playing with the dog. She even taught him how to swim in our pool! Our lab loves having Julia over to watch him and I love being able to leave him with her, knowing he is with a responsible and caring person. I highly recommend Julia as a pet sitter!

A typical day
Depending on what you and your dog are comfortable with, the typical day will vary. I love going for neighborhood walks, spending time in dog parks, or going for a hike. Lots of play time and scratches are also in store!

Availability
I have a pretty flexible schedule, but would mostly be available to care for your pet during the weekends. I can do walks during the morning or evenings when available during the week. For pet sitting, any time during the week/weekend is great as long as your pet is okay with four to five hour stretches alone. Please feel free to reach out about additional times, and I can confirm my availability.
