Pet care experience
I’ve lived with and cared for dogs throughout my life and have a lot of experience with puppies, senior dogs, and all ages in between. I am very attuned to dogs’ needs and I like to strike a good balance between play and rest. I know that every dog is different so I understand that needs and care may vary! I adore dogs and would love to meet your fluffy friend, so please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Julia Simmons is a true pet whisperer. Long exposed to animal behavior and people interested in it throughout her life and her (2024) BS degree in biology and mathematics, she has long had a wonderful, loving, generous-of-spirit insight into the motivation of cats and especially dogs - when they are anxious, stressed or uncomfortable, how to put them at ease, and she is a wonderful dog-walker, dog-playmate and housesitter. I have many times asked her to look after our two dogs and feel 200% comfortable with them being in her care, even for a week or more at a time. You will not go wrong with this insightful, gentle and compassionate young woman with your pets.
I cannot say enough about Julia! She was the first pet sitter that we used and without question she set the bar very high. My dog Rhody immediately fell in love with her. I knew she was a winner. When the minute she got out of the car, she bent down to play with the dog within seconds. That told me a lot. Julia has stayed at the house on a number of occasions and has always left it as clean, if not cleaner than when I left. And, I think our dog pouts for days after Julia leaves. You literally would be very lucky to get Julia to stay at your house and take care of your little family friends! She’s the best.

A typical day
We’ll go for walks and play with toys. I also love to cuddle up with them once play time is over! I like to keep dogs mentally stimulated, through adequate sniffing time on walks or playtime.

I’ve just graduated from WWU and am looking for jobs so I have plenty of free time! I will be moving to the UK in May or June so may not be able to accept bookings that far in advance.
