Pet care experience
I have owned dogs throughout my whole life, and walking the pups have always been a central part of my life. For the past 5 years, I have associated myself with both the Guide Dog Foundation and Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Through these organizations, I have been trained to handle and sit the pups-in-training. Additionally, I have raised two dogs for the Guide Dog Foundation. (Charlie now works as an MSA Dog in California, while Skipper is still learning more skills at the foundation!) Most recently, I took in two seven-week-old puppies from the Guide Dog Foundation to "socialize" them before they go out to their trainers. In addition to walking, I also love going on jogs and runs. If the dogs have higher-energy levels and need to go for quick walks, I can certainly keep up and even challenge their pace. I am so excited to start working new pups in my neighborhood!

Julia R. is one of the best dog caretakers I have ever met! She is so kind, caring, and loving to all creatures, especially dogs. She has experience training and taking care of dogs with the Guide Dog Foundation, as well as, working with an organization of service dogs with her college, Cornell University.
Since elementary school, Julia has been one of my closest and dearest friends. She is one of the most selfless people I know and is very hardworking when it comes to school and work. For a few years now, Julia and her parents have volunteered to raise puppies in training to become guide dogs. Julia is extremely dedicated when taking care of the puppies and she is very responsible. My chocolate lab Nancy has been a part of my family since I was 12 years old and whenever my family goes on vacation Julia takes care of her for me. I can always depend on Julia to be there for me because I always have her constant support and love. Julia is the perfect person to be a pet-sitter because not only does she have an extreme amount of love for animals but she is incredibly reliable.

I love exploring new areas and trails with my dogs. I am also an avid runner, so I would be happy to take your dog on a run with me. I like going by the river for my exercise.

Availability
I work in an elementary school on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, so I am free in the afternoon/early evening to walk your pups! I am also free on Tuesday and Friday to walk at any time of the day.
