A Walk to Remember

Pet care experience

I'm a graduate of Highland Canine's School for Dog Trainer's 6-month Master Dog Trainer program in Harmony, NC, where I was taught to understand and modify dog behavior. Since then, I've worked as a kennel attendant at Golden Grange Kennels in Chesterfield, NJ, while also rehabilitating aggressive dogs as an assistant trainer at Bullys Behaven in Jackson, NJ. I've also trained obedience in LA for the past six months. I've handled a wide variety of dog breeds with their own unique quirks and temperaments- and I'm no stranger to handling big, strong dogs like pitties and Cane Corsos!

Julia is a very kind person who will treat your pets as if they are hers. My Golden Retriever adores her and I feel comfortable leaving him in her care.

Safety, trust & environment

As a general rule, I like building relationships, and your canine companion is no exception. I'll watch their body language and make sure they're comfortable and okay.

Information Julia P. would like to know about your pet

Any behavioral quirks or medical issues- what is/is not normal for your dog? For instance, at the kennel, we had an elderly dog who was suddenly having seizures. We call the owners and they are very neutral and tell us 'oh, that's normal'. I hope you understand a heads-up to that kind of thing would be greatly appreciated.

A typical day

We can do all sorts of fun things like walks in a nearby park or a dog-friendly store! I love to do confidence-building, and most dogs build it by jumping up on elevated or wobbly objects like benches or those Home Depot carts. We can play tug or fetch or whatever their preferred activity is. I'd be more than happy to provide Kong toys and slow-bowls, and other things to keep your fido mentally stimulated.

I should be available for your furry companion(s) during the mornings, as I'm currently looking for evening work to make ends meet (you know how it is). I'm around dogs- and lots of them- all the time.
