Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Julia, and I just moved to Lyon Village by way of DC and NYC. I work remotely in People Development for a PR firm, where practicing clear communication and fostering mutual trust are things I do on a daily basis. I've volunteered at several animal shelters in my spare time, and I’ll do everything I can to keep your pets happy, healthy and safe when you’re called to the other commitments in your life. I’ve been the sole owner of pets for 3.5 years but have cared for animals almost my entire life. I grew up with Maine Coon cats, and fostered kittens and dogsat while living in NYC. I’d love to hear your pet care needs!
Reviews
Julia is amazing. She really gets cats and understood my boy’s confusing body language. She was so patient, gave him his medications, and gave him different amounts of attention based on his cues. I actually felt so much more comfortable on my trip knowing she was with him. I highly recommend Julia!
Julia was great—communicative, professional, and thorough.
My cat loves Julia, and we are always glad to have her come by!
Julia has been fantastic watching our cat. Her time spent and regular updates are so appreciated!

My cats Bean and Finny are both very curious and have been around other cats and dogs in the past. Bean tends to want to hang out with new visitors, while Finny does his typical cat thing and steers clear. They’re also both insured. I treat my cats like they're my kids, and I'll truly do the same for your pets. I will always err on the side of caution and will communicate (in whatever way you prefer) if I think something’s up. DOGGIE DAYCARE "Doggie Daycare" is 7-11 hours a day, dropping off from 7 to 9 am and picking up from 4 to 6 pm. Extending beyond or before those timeframes automatically incurs an "extended hours" fee set by Rover. Need a sitter for fewer than 7 hours a day? Reach out! I’m happy to customize for your needs. If possible, I much prefer watching your loved ones in your space for daycare reservations. I find it’s easier for all animals, since they’re in their natural space. Happy to discuss all options with you, however. HOUSE-SITTING: Let’s discuss expectations for each reservation. House-sitting generally means I’ll spend the majority of the day at your place, with up to a few hours where I’ll head to my place to feed my own cats or run errands or other drop-ins. I can either spend the night at your place or arrive at your place each morning and leave each evening. Whatever our arrangement, I respect your privacy and home. I will bring in mail and packages, water plants or a garden, and clean up after myself before I leave.

Information Julia N. would like to know about your pet
I'm a cat owner first and foremost, but I love caring for dogs, too. I generally prefer smaller to mid-sized dogs but am happy to arrange a meet and greet with anyone! I want to do the best job I can for you, so please let me know what your expectations are ahead of time (if they differ from those included above). What makes your pet most comfortable? How can I help with training or separation anxiety? How often do you want to hear from me? Let me know your preferences, and I’ll be sure to incorporate.
A typical day
I just moved to a house in a nice walking neighborhood, so I’m always happy to take your pets for a walk or for outdoor playtime. I’ll take cues from their body language to see if they want attention or space, and will play with them, too.

Availability
I manage my own working schedule, so I can drop in almost any time during the day or evening. I live in a house with one other person and 2 cats, and we have a (small) front and back yard, so there’s enough room to play!
