My family got a dog when I was just 9 years old. Since then, she has been an amazing part of our family for 13 years. I worked with her on sit, lay down, and stay commands. Now that she is a senior dog, she has slowed down a lot, but is still my best friend. We will play together and go on walks, but while at school, I miss her dearly. In addition to my personal dog, I have spent countless hours volunteering at my local animal shelter and walking rescue dogs there. In addition, I have worked at barns which have cats, dogs, and horses. I have a lot of experience with a variety of animals and would call myself a huge animal lover!
