From since I could walk I've loved animals. I've cared for an exotic assortment of animals over my life as well--not just the typical cat and dog routine. I rode horses and cared for horses at a local barn growing up, raised guinea pigs, rats, birds. My favourite animals have always been dogs and cats and my family over the years have owned several cats and a giant Samoyed dog. I'm comfortable administering medicine to cats, dogs and rodents. My priority when meeting new animals is gaining their trust and making sure they feel comfortable with me. It's important to respect an animals comfort level. I'm comfortable with all types and breeds of dogs. I'm comfortable with younger animals as well as animals who are sick and elderly.
