Hi! My name is Julia. I'm a recent graduate from Michigan State University with a BS in Fisheries and Wildlife Management. I love all animals of any kind! I do not currently own a dog (I have a cat instead), but love to visit and watch my parents' pets (a German Shepherd and cats) whenever I can, as well as volunteer at the Ingham County Animal Shelter when I have the time. I am rather flexible and will do my best to meet all of your petsitting needs. Why I would be a good choice for your family: I have been part of an animal loving family my whole life! I have learned to be patient, but firm with my family's dogs and have learned how to correctly read body language and behaviors through experience. I love taking walks through state parks and nature areas, and am committed to keeping your dog safe while walking in rural and busy environments. I have administered oral medication on many occasions, just let me know any tips and tricks that work for your dog! My visits would range from a half hour to an hour, making sure that your dog's needs are met and to work off a bit of energy! For in house sitting, your dog would not be left alone for more than four hours during the day. Hope to talk to you soon!

Julia was fantastic staying with our dog Frank for the weekend. She was was very communicative, and sent several photo/video updates of our very happy dog throughout her stay :-). On top of taking great care of Frank, she left our house in spotless condition. Will definitely be reaching out to her again!
Julia was great!! She came to meet the dogs before our visit appointment and she is clearly comfortable with dogs. She was felxible and asked if she could work with the puppy on training, which we really appreciated! She is knowledgeable and handled our 3.5 yr 80lb dog and energetic 12 month old newfie pup so well! We will definitely be staying in touch for future pup-sitting!! Thanks for the peace of mind!

Depending on where you live, I would choose a park, subdivision, dog park or nature area to walk in. I try to stay away from areas with traffic or a lot of people. Playing fetch in a closed in space, playing with their favorite toys, and learning new tricks are a few stimulating activities that may be fun to do!
