Hi there! I'm Julia, lover of dogs, cinnamon rolls & long distance hiking. :) I would love to take care of your furbabies while you're away. If you're looking for a safe, experienced sitter who will make sure your dog is happy & having fun, that's me. I've been a dog owner for 32 years, large & small dogs. I absolutely love dogs & have years of dog-centric employment experience. I've worked as an animal control officer, an animal caregiver (dogs) at Pasado's Safe Haven sanctuary, an animal shelter worker, pet rescue staff (Adams County Pet Rescue & Doggie Superheroes) and a rescue dog foster. I have extensive experience with special needs pets, including seniors, diabetics, handicap, service, birthing & newborns. My "heart dog" lived to be 19 1/2 years old & had a 3X/day med schedule for many years--I understand the needs & special considerations required for our more fragile seniors. If you worry about your dogs' safety & care while you're away--which of course you do--be assured that I can responsibly handle any situation that may arise. Your baby will be safe & happy. :)

Julia is an angel. My Maltese mix, Bean, loves her. Bean is special needs (pills for her heart) and a little temperamental. However, Julia is such a doll, she met us at the park after I got off work and immediately Bean was taken with her. I travel for work sometimes and used to be so stressed out about Bean. With Julia, I feel much better! She’ll even send pictures of Bean to me if I’m out for more than a day.

In my home your dog(s) will have the run of the house, plenty of comfy dog beds & long leash walks around my 14 acres (or hikes on your request)! I have two dogs of my own available for companionship (15 lb Sadie the mini Aussie & Juju the 8 lb toy Aussie), but they can be kept separate for your baby's comfort if you'd prefer--my daughter lives downstairs & my dogs can happily stay with her if needed.

Availability
I work part-time with mid-day hours, but my adult daughter lives downstairs & our comings/goings usually overlap. I'm available seven days/week. In the case of long-term care drop-offs, special arrangements can be made (i.e. I can change my work schedule to be home for your doggy drop-off & for settling in on the first day at the house).
