I am a recent graduate from Tufts university and am living in Somerville over the summer! I am going to be an early childhood nature educator and am excited to also work in pet care hopefully for your family! I have grown up with multiple animals in the home since I was 2, I always had at-least 2 dogs growing up, range of sizes from big to tiny, and took on many pet care responsibilities from a young age, fostering a deep love for animals! As well as dogs I have personally had and cared for Guinea pigs and hamsters, chickens, frogs, and a turtle, and have experience caring for cats, while I have not owned a cat due to my mothers allergies. Professionally, I was a dog walker for 2 years before the COVID pandemic sent me home for families around the Tufts area, walking one older smaller dog and one young big dog! I have done overnight dog sitting for several coworkers in the past, as well as within nature educator trainings have been trained on proper handling of both exotic animals and pet-like animals, as well as clean up, care, feeding and more!
