Julia is a full time PhD student at McMaster University, studying Clinical Psychology, and Alec is a full time PhD student at the University of Waterloo, studying Pure Mathematics. We love spending our free time taking care of all kinds of animals. We are new to the KW area, but dog sat for many families for many years while living in Ottawa. Being students, our schedules are both very flexible, and often non-conflicting, meaning there is almost always someone at home! We absolutely love animals. We both grew up with family pets, and now have a cat (OJ) together. We cannot wait until we can get a dog of our own, but for now we put all that extra love into caring for your pets for you! We know how stressful it can be for you and your pets when you have to leave them, so we try really hard to ensure that they are safe, comfortable, and happy while you are away. While Julia has normally dog sat in the past (and this was originally her profile alone -- Alec underwent a background check through Rover to get added to the profile), we are now looking to board your pets for you! Because of our sweet little OJ, any pets we bring into our home must be 100% good around cats. Julia has experience with a number of animals both personally and through work. She has owned and/or cared for dogs, cats, hamsters, lizards, and birds, as well as horses! She has been horse back riding since she was 5 years old, and spent many summers working at the barn, taking care of horses, and many other farm animals. A number of years ago, she worked at the Ottawa Humane Society, where she looked after many different types of domestic animals, including dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, and many more.
