New to Rover but not to Pets!
Pet care experience
I have only cared for my friends pets in their homes while away (2 weeks - 5 weeks at a time) over the past few years and had not considered making some extra money doing it until now. I love all animals! I call them Famimals, because I believe animals are specially designed or created to add value to our lives as family members, and in a way that only they can. I find that our pets teach us something about ourselves if we let them and so I enjoy learning from them. It's important to me that your pet feels comfortable with me, and so I prefer to keep them in their natural environment and activities while you are away. I am also completely game for new adventures if your pet enjoys taking a drive or going to the park or trails. I don't need hand-holding, so you can leave me a little instruction or a whole book; I'm totally fine with that. I love communication and sending photos or texts from your pet, but if that's overkill, I can just check in when you prefer. Ideally, you are not worried about us and feel completely at ease that I am taking care of your pet and your home.

Julia is wonderful! She's great with my (very energetic) dogs and cat, so flexible, easy going, and went above and beyond. She's been a blessing to me and my animals!
Julia sat for our two dogs. One is 4.5 years and the other is 4 months. The pup is still working on potty training. Julia did a great job with them. She was prompt to arrive, attentive to their needs and sent us updates during the day. Since this was our first time with Julia she came over several days prior to the booking to meet us and the dogs. We all liked her and were comfortable with her. She has a very sweet, confident and calm vibe which worked perfect with the dogs. At the last minute we had a call that some scheduled work was going to happen in our backyard the same day Julia was sitting. She took it in stride and didn’t mind that we added extra tasks of checking the gates to make sure they were closed behind the workers and walk the dogs out on leash while they were there. We will definitely call on Julia again to dog sit. I know the pups will be excited to see her.
Julia took to our bunny, Bella, like instant family. And Bella absolutely loved Julia! Julia sent updates with pictures and stories about Bella, questions if there were any, and just put our minds at ease. She is a great communicator, clearly loves animals and is prompt and reliable. She has truly taken first place on our list of people to call when we need pet sitting.
Julia is fantastic with our dog! Our dog LOVES her. Julia not only walks her, feeds her, but spends time playing with her as well. By the time Julia's time with our dog has come to an end, I honestly think my dog is a little disappointed to be left with just me. Julia treats our animal as if she were her own child.
