Pet care experience
I leash trained two high energy dogs from puppyhood to 2 years of age. I've worked with a familes with multiple dogs inculding 4 small dogs, 2 large dogs, and a variety of breeds, including saint bernards, huskies, grey hounds, poodles, chihuahuas, mini and full sized Australian Shepards. I currently have an open schedule amd would love to work with your dogs, including visits to dog parks if you'd like! I like to end walks with some time playing fetch or other toys. I've taken care of an extremely elderly dog who needed to be carried to the bathroom, and also worked with stubborn huskies who were slow to respond to training! I'm extremely patient and obviously love animals and I believe I could be a great fit for most familes.
Reviews
I wasn't the only person whose childhood home was sold forever after my parents split up; my maltipoo doggo Tiki lost her puppyhood home too. So when Tiki had nowhere to go, she came to live with me (ergo Julia as well). What started off like an awful 90's sitcom soon turned into be a blessing in disguise. Tiki staying with me was a win-win, because 1) I'm a lazy dog-owner, and 2) Julia likes dogs more than people. It didn't take long before Julia began seeing herself as Tiki's co-master. This sometimes caused tensions between us, but rest assured, we never fought in front of Tiki. Now, since Tiki was now a foster dog jumping between houses every other weekend, she would sometimes leave our apartment to stay with my dad. This would be very sad for Julia, who would fall into deep states of loneliness and despair without the dog at our apartment to keep her feeling happy. But when Tiki would return, Julia would perk right back up and all would be good in the world again. I've always known Julia was a pet lover, but when it became evident she was beginning to like my dog more than she liked me, I started feeling abandoned, much like Tiki may have during my family's split. Fortunately, the transition for Tiki went smoothly, thanks to Julia's open arms and loving pets. Divorce is never fun, but when you have someone as caring as Julia is, it can make things much easier. Now I just need to find someone to pet me, too. Moving out of our apartment, I knew Julia would be sad without having Tiki around. But it makes me happy to see she's getting help for herself by signing up to dog sit other people's dogs. I vouch for her 100% and can think of no one better to dog sit than Julia; she isn't just good at this-- she needs it. Please do this for her.
