Pet care experience
Volunteering for the SFSPCA for a year walking/visiting dogs, I learned to quickly connect with pets, and have a meaningful interaction despite not knowing each other well. I was trained on four different categories of dog socialization, including puppies, shy guys, and injured doggos. I grew up with cats, dogs, and fish. In my adult life I care for friends' and familys pets when they're away, though I don't have my own at home.

Julia was great to work with! Luna can be a more challenging dog with some dog reactivity and stress around new people and Julia was great with all that. She has a little enclosed outdoor patio which was perfect for Luna to get some outside time without any other dogs walking by. Would definitely recommend Julia!

Julia is great with all types of animals! Not only has she helped me personally with my doggos, but I’ve witnessed her make besties with kitties and other non-humans .. and she may or may not have an Instagram dedicated to the birds she befriends! Total animal lover and great human!!
Julia is a loving and caring person who has always cared deeply for animals and has been a very responsible and warm caretaker for pets of various kinds, including a variety of dogs. She has a real way with animals and they respond eagerly to her. I would happily trust any pet of mine to her care anytime, with absolute confidence that they would be in the best possible hands.

My home space is private, with an enclosed patio* separating the apartment from the street. (*Supervised patio time only, of course!) No animals live with me. I am on a block that is sandwiched between two great parks to walk through, with lots of stuff to sniff! Both parks have a fenced off-leash area, as an option, though I will keep your fur baby on a leash unless otherwise discussed. In your home, I will be respectful of your space and boundaries, and follow whatever protocol is needed for the safety and happiness of the fur family.

A typical day
We can visit one or both of the two awesome parks right near me, or take a walk to some in the neighboring neighborhoods! Depending on your doggo, we can hike uphill, play fetch, lounge on the couch with a kong, etc!

I'm a freelancer and gig worker, so my schedule is relatively flexible. Available during the middle of the typical work day, etc., as arranged for your needs. (Early morning not as good, but negotiable, as I often work at night.)
