Homemade treats and long walks are just a couple of the ways I try to give the dogs I watch what they need when their owners can’t be with them. Dogs respond to my calm demeanor patience, and I love to reinforce the behavior that owners are working to instill in their fur babies. Having become the go-to caretaker for friends’ dogs, I’m eager to broaden the family of dogs I care for. One of my main hobbies in recent years has been reading about dog cognition, so I can more effectively care for and instruct the dogs that I spend time with.
