I love dogs so freaking much!

Pet care experience

I love small dogs and love making friends with shy dogs. I had a small dog as a young kid and she was my best friend. I taught her how to do a bunch of tricks. I have now hosted many dogs and even a few cats. This is the best job ever. Over the past two years, I have developed a group of repeat clients. Most come for overnight stays when their owners are out of town but I have one small Chihuahua named Nala that I do daycare for Monday-Thursday. I also have a couple of dogs that live within two blocks of me that I walk a couple of times a week. Because I usually have at least one dog with me besides my Rover clients I can only take dogs that are okay with other dogs. The dogs that are my regulars are all small to barely medium-sized dogs. All dogs must be vaccinated as well because I want to make sure everyone is safe during their stay especially with the respiratory illness going around. I try my best not to take more than two dogs at once so I can give the dogs as much attention and love as possible. I do like to take dogs that I am hosting everywhere with me from the park to coffee shops to outdoor bars and the rock climbing gym. Our neighborhood is so walkable and dog-friendly which is one of my favorite things about it. I also love to say daily affirmations to the dogs and make-up songs that include their names in them that I sing to them every day. They seem to love this. Dogs that are afraid to go to normal boarding or day-care love coming to my place. My husband calls me the dog whisperer. A very important thing to know is that we live on the second floor of our apartment building so dogs must be able to go up and down stairs or be around 10 pounds or less so I can carry them up and down.

Judy was amazing!!! I was super nervous with leaving my dog at a stranger’s place for the first time but Judy was quick to make sure he was super comfortable, loved, exercised and played with a ton. You can tell she really really loves dogs and she sent me multiple photos/video updates throughout every day which I really appreciated. I knew Theodore would feel like he was on vacation too due to all the extra fun he was getting!! Thank you Judy for helping our Theodore feel safe and giving him such great attention and love ?

Judy is the best! We were nervous about leaving our dog for the first time to go on vacation and couldn’t be happier. Our dog was in such great care with someone who is definitely a dog person. Our dog got so much attention and play time and cuddles.

Judy was amazing! Super responsive and communicative. She was flexible with drop off and pickup, and sent photos and updates every day (she also asked how often I’d like to receive updates, which was very much appreciated). My dog loves her and I’ll definitely be using her again the next time I go out of town!

As a new dog mama, I was so nervous about having to leave my baby for the first time but Judy made sure he was so loved and taken care of while I was gone. He had some tummy issues and she was so kind and patient about it which made me so relieved. She sent updates with pictures and made sure that he had the best time going on walks and playing his heart out! Already booked her again! Highly recommend ☺️

I have a one-bedroom apartment. It is very cozy though. I keep lots of dog beds around and have two crates available for use for the dogs that are crate-trained. We also have a doggy gate separating our living room/kitchen from the rest of the apartment which helps when I need to separate dogs for feeding times for the dogs that get protective of their food. Also, like I said before I have a Furbo camera to watch over dogs if I ever need to leave them alone at home.

Information Judy E. would like to know about your pet

I especially love smaller dogs. I am cool with both high energy and low energy dogs but would love to know that ahead of time so I can plan the schedule around it.

A typical day

I love to take dogs to Elysian Park in my neighborhood. Especially during the morning when it isn’t crowded. We set up the hammock and play fetch. I also taking them for walks in my neighborhood where all of the old victorian houses are. We love to cuddle on the bed at night.

I work from home running my own business. I work only about ten hours a week so I have plenty of time to give dogs love. I am with the dogs the vast majority of the time but I do need to be able to leave the dogs home for short periods if their stay is long. I do have a Furbo camera to keep an eye on dogs if they are left at home and to throw treats at them to comfort them if I am gone.
