Pet care experience
Hey there! Growing up with dogs and always being an animal lover, I volunteered at a cat and dog boarding kennel/dog daycare when I was 13 years old, started officially working at 16, and stayed for 13 years. Along with the kennel, I've been doing drop ins, walks, and overnight sitting for dogs and cats for years. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as light grooming (bathing, brushing and nail trims), and administering medication. I'm taking classes online at VCU, which leaves me plenty of time to spend with your pups ensuring there is nothing but loving and tail wagging going on! I look forward to meeting you and your best four legged friend!

JP was 100% professional and reliable. She was also very responsive to communication. She stayed at my place with my dog while I was gone and left it as clean and neat as it was when she arrived.

When sitting at your house, I follow all your safety instructions to ensure your pets are taken care of as if they’re my own. Whether they need to be supervised outside, walked on a leash, or can have free outings outside to frolic alone, their safety is my priority! If your pup has the opportunity to come to my house, I have a 6ft privacy fence at home where they can enjoy their outings in addition to neighborhood walks. After working with dogs at a kennel and doggy daycare for 12.5 years, I am easily able to read dogs body language and spot when one may give off signs of being uncomfortable or anything that may seem off or concerning. The safety and well being of your pups is my utmost concern and I ensure you their tails will stay wagging our entire visit!

There is no detail too little or too big to know when it comes fo caring for your critters. Whether they need a little extra TLC and require some special care, or are independent and need minimal attention or care, I take note of it all to make sure everyone’s needs are met.
A typical day
The day to day schedule simply depends on what your pups are used to. Whether your pup is used to being walked daily, having the ball tossed in the yard, or just lazily lounging around, I’m happy to meet you and your pups expectations!

I’m a VCU student and with my internship, some days are a pretty long for some pups. (Wednesdays and Thursdays I will have to be out of the house form 8:30-4:30ish). Otherwise my schedule is flexible as my classes will be online, which leaves me plenty of time to hang out with your favorite critters! I typically prefer to spend whatever time I’m not working at your house, but can be there as little or as much as you’d prefer. With my flexible schedule, it’s easy to meet your expectations and the needs of your critters!
