The Best Critter Care in Grantsburg

Pet care experience

Your dog will love hanging out with me, and rest assured that your pet will not feel alone. I love doing dog walks and drop in visits, they are super fun! I work remotely, on my laptop, so your pet will be well taken care of, with me at all times, and receive tons of attention, and lots of treats and one-on-one time! Conveniently located, in Grantsburg, I’m on the south side, near Alpha (gateway to Siren - 😂). I specialize in, and really love, taking care of large dogs, especially pit bulls, and any of the bully breeds and crosses, but any breed is welcomed with open arms (and lots of doggy kisses). Please view my profile to read about my own dog, Maya, who is now thirteen years old and still running around like a wild woman. I am also a former dog foster, and volunteer, with Save-A-Bull Rescue, and Carver Scott Humane Society. And, I am now a member, and volunteer, with the Burnett County Humane Society. I grew up, on a farm, in Grantsburg, taking care of my own dogs, cats, horses, mules, chickens, pigs, and cows. At one time, when I was very young, I had twenty-two cats, that I took care of, on our family farm.

Joyelle did a great job pet sitting at our home. She took our dog for multiple walks and gave our pets lots of love and attention. We would definitely book Joyelle again.

Joyelle was wonderful as usual. I know my cats will be well taken care of and loved when she is there.

Joyelle is fantastic and always sends a ton of pictures and a thorough note about her visits with my kitties. I really appreciate that I can go out of town and have peace of mind that my cats are well taken care of by someone who truly enjoys them and their personalities.

She did an excellent job with our two dogs. One was having some medical issues and she constantly kept in contact with us. She took several pictures and constantly kept in contact. Would highly recommend.

I take A LOT of photos, and try to maintain constant communication, with pet parents, during drop in visits and dog walks. I’m flexible, and pay attention to your dog’s needs and what your dog says that they want to do. I try to keep the same normal routines, for your pet, that they are used to and enjoy, as I know this provides a lot of pets comfort, when they are already worried about their owners being away. I know that it is a serious responsibility taking care of someone else’s pet (baby), just as I feel the same way when someone else takes care of one of my babies. Many pets are stressed when their families are away, so I always keep this in mind.

Information Joyelle L. would like to know about your pet

My client's dogs are treated the same as my dog! Everyone is a member of the pack. Please let me know if you would like me to feed your dog, during drop in visits, and before, or after walks. I also dispense meds to a lot of my client’s pets. I’m big on belly rubs, so let me know where they liked to be scratched the most, because who doesn’t like a good back scratch! I also like to know if grain free treats are okay, as I love to spoil everyone with delicious, healthy treats. I will also grab your mail, on drop in visits, and water your plants, and open and close your blinds, so it looks like you are still home, to the rest of the world.

A typical day

If I have to run an errand, the dogs always ride in the car with me, so I will have to find out if you are comfortable with your dog riding along, or if you would prefer that your dog be temporarily kenneled, if I have to leave the house briefly, or they can just hang out, on my bed, and take a nap, if you are okay with that, too, for a short while. My dogs, of course, always insist on riding along! :-). I love doing dog walkies! I like to take the dogs on walks that are interesting and exciting, for them. I allow plenty of sniff time, as this has been proven to be absolutely important for your dog’s mental state, and well being. I like to find out, in advance, what type of activities, your pet loves to do, and what kind of play that your pet likes to do every day, as this will help immensely in keeping things normal, and fun, while you are gone.

Availability

My schedule is flexible, so send me a text to let me know what your dog, and cat, care needs are! I have the most availability for doing dog walks, and drop in visits, each week. I also flexible, with cancellations, as I know that life happens, plans change unexpectedly. I currently have a Rover next day cancellation policy, but if something unexpected happens, feel free to text me, as soon as possible, and let me know. We have so many things now, including Covid, all contributing to folks’ travel plans changing, as they fly/travel to other parts of the U.S. and beyond, so I try to be a normal and empathetic person about that, as I know my own travel plans have even had to change, and I find it super annoying when I’ve hired Rover sitters myself, who have ridiculous cancellation policies (and Rover allows this, for whatever reason).
