Unfortunately, when we picked up my dog from an afternoon at Joyce's, we could immediately tell something was wrong - she had peed herself, and when we put her in the backseat of our car to leave, I saw that her head was rolling back and she was unable to focus or stand up properly. Long story short, we ended up taking her to the pet ER, where they confirmed with blood tests, etc. that she had ingested something toxic (they suspected marijuana or similar). It was very scary, and cost us $1000. To her credit, Joyce was very responsive when we let her know what was happening and was apologetic. I understand things happen, but when we leave our dog with a sitter it's important to be able to trust that the environment is safe for her and that she won't be left alone, and neither was the case.

Our 10-month-old Westie, Finn, stayed with Joyce for a few nights. We loved her dog-friendly home, her kind attitude and her attention to Finn's needs. He had a big, beautiful yard to play in, which was wonderful. She also took him on walks to the park--another extra we were thrilled about. Very happy and we recommend Joyce for other dog parents!
