I’ve always had animals. I have taken care of many breeds of animals. I worked as an animal control officer for over 10 years. I had 4 dogs & in May, lost my last dog. They had great lives & were loved every second of their lives. I had an Australian Shepherd who was born into my hands, that was blind & deaf. There was a female born the same. The rest of the litter was fine. The mom was taken away from her owner & ended up at the shelter. I fell in love with my Mosby” & ended up taking him home. He lived an amazing life until he got a brain tumor at age 13. He did not know he was blind or deaf & always had a smile on his face. My dog Phoenix was Golden Retriever, Shepard & Rottie. She was a great dog. She lived until she was 15. I also had a Jack Russell, Roxy. She was my daughters dog & when she moved to Nashville I kept her. She died of liver cancer a month shy of her 16th birthday. My 4th dog, Lexi, was found at 2 lbs in a garbage can. A lady from Jamestown had her & got her healthy & couldn’t keep her because her older dog didn’t do well with him. She brought her to the shelter& my son in law & daughter adopted her. They moved in with me & when they left, I kept her because she was so happy with the other dogs. She passed away on May 11th. She was a pit mix. This is the 1st time since I was born that I do not have a dog. I am on the search for one that will fit into my home with my 2 cats. Like my previous dogs, the right fit will find me. My parents loved animals very much so I was raised living animals! My dad always said,” make sure they have fresh water & don’t bother them while they are eating”. Being the youngest of 9 my parents usually gave into me with all the animals I brought home. I always wanted to save every animal that needed help. I help run a non-profit for animals in my community. I love all animals & am looking forward to loving yours!!!
