Loving care when your not There

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Joy. My Life's passion is caring for animals, I am happiest to just be with them! I have 6 years experience working on a farm with a variety of animals; jersey cows,Angus cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, pot belly pigs, chickens, chicks, ducks, rabbits,Emu,zebras...You name it, I've probably taken care of it! I am 28, I have yet to meet someone who doesn't call me a sweetheart, and I think old people are the cutest thing ever, aside from puppies & kittens, of coarse. My desire someday is to work in a wildlife rescue, or zoo, or/and own my own property to create a unique hobby farm/boarding facility with fenced acreage for dogs and other animals to run around on and play. Thank you for considering me to watch your fur babies! Have a great day

Joy did a great job watching my pets for me! My dog developed a flea allergy and was quite persistent in biting at his tail, regardless of the cone or other safeguards I put in place. Joy came in while I was at work to keep his happy and distracted so as not to make the hot spot/start of an infection any worse. He is doing great now and is always happy whenever she comes by!

Joy worked for many years as an intergral part of our farm. She helped to care for all our animals, dogs and cats, chickens and ducks, horses and goats and even a zebra. She is incredibly patient and kind and was able to deal with our very stubborn mules and goats! She is a wonderful young woman and truly loves animals.

Safety, trust & environment

I am very flexible to spend most the day with your pets, play with them either in their yard or in the house. I like to give them treats. I usually will give the dogs a bath and brushing at the end of the sit, depending if they are comfortable enough with me or not.

Information Joy S. would like to know about your pet

I need to know any animal have any aggression behavior so I can deal with those animals accordingly while staying safe. Allergies so I know what to stay away from. If they do ok with baths and brushing, same with Horses. I will use my judgment whether I end up bathing a pet. If they are not comfortable with me yet, I won't risk my safety or their growing trust in me. I will only deal with well behaved farm animals.

A typical day

If the client is comfortable with it, I would take them on walks. I would love taking them to a dog park to play and romp around with other dogs, only if they are NOT dog aggressive, or a separate fenced area to run and play with toys. If I was watching livestock, Horses and goats especially, I am usually found in the stall or pasture with them, just hanging out and giving them cuddles and scratches and treats, I love grooming horses.
