Pet care experience
From chihuahuas to mastiffs, I am no stranger to caring for dogs. My family has 2 special needs dogs who we've had since I was 15 and I grew up helping my parents' dog sit for their friends. **Cat parents, please see the "Cat care experience" section below!** I have been volunteering with PAWS NY, a non-profit group that offers pet care and dog walking services to vulnerable NYC residents, since September 2021 during which I completed dog and cat safety training.

Joy has watched my dog twice now and she LOVES staying with Joy. My dog is always eager to spend time with her and Joy always makes sure to send daily picture updates so I know what she’s up to!
I've used Joy several times now, and she is really great. She is reliable and is amazing with pets. I always feel comfortable knowing my cats are in her hands and highly recommend her.
Joy was great, really easy to work with, and I know my dog had a good time with her because the second time we booked he was so excited to go to her place!

It’s always handy to have a few of their favorite treats and toys around for me to give them! For cats, litter and a box can be provided during boarding. All the dogs I board are huge fans of our fenced in backyard as well!

Please let me know if your dog is reactive towards humans and/or other dogs, has separation anxiety, as well as if they have special needs ex. dietary restrictions, mobility restrictions. For cats, please notify me of conditions like urinary tract issues and if they are easily overstimulated by certain activities so I can best care for them. I always do Meet and Greets prior to caring your for pet to ensure the best fit!
A typical day
I love being outdoors, so your pup will get plenty of time outside in the sun! On our walks, I’ll take your dog to new places nearby so they can explore and discover new things :) I am walking distance from several parks and a dog run!

Availability
During the school year I take classes in Manhattan and work weekends, so your pet would do best with me if they’re okay with some alone time.
