Joy is wonderful pet owner and caregiver! She is attuned to the individual needs of each pet in the home, and always, always goes above and beyond for each of them, be it meds or a special food or extra cuddles. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
Joy is friendly and professional, and (no pun intended) a joy to work with! She is great with varying personality types, and she is enthusiastic about enrichment options. One of my dogs is very high energy and the other is very reserved but Joy was able to connect with both of them and make them comfortable. Joy is also great with cats, her gentle demeanor made my kitty relax and feel safe quickly. If you’re looking for dog walking, pet sitting, or pet check ins, Joy is a great choice and I highly recommend her.

We have an invisible fence for dogs who are trained on one, else we’ll go out on-leash only. We have two fun dogs of our own, along with two older Coon cats who cuddle calm canines. There’s ample room to explore inside, lots of options for snuggling, and a variety of views of endless outside interests. I’ve navigated the full age span of cats and dogs many times, including illness, injury, and a range of personalities; let me know your needs and we can discuss.

A typical day
We love to enjoy a mix of exploration, fun, and rest. Our home has visual stimulation on all 4 sides of the house, out to open fields, over to woods, across the pasture to the horse barn, and over the driveway. It’s a peaceful place, but also fun to watch. We have a screened porch for warmer weather, and a sun porch to enjoy in cooler weather. Outside we have lots to explore. We’ll be on-leash if untrained on a perimeter fence, and still attended if they are. We have toys to enjoy, chewies you approve, and lots of fresh water after playtime. Then, everyone gets a comfy bed for nap time as well as private space for meal time.

I am a semi-retired work-from-home professional whose lifestyle integrates cats and dogs. I can check in on your fur friends at your place or accommodate house-trained, cat-respectful doggos at mine. Older dogs especially welcome.
