Pet care experience
Hi! My very first experience with pet care was at 12 years old, when I finally got the puppy (Jambo) I had begged my parents for since I was eight. Jambo, a shih tzu-poodle mix, is an old boy now, living with my parents—and since raising and training him I've gone on to care for Beagles, Yorkies, Labrador puppies, senior Malteses, Border Collie mixes, and more. Whatever breed and age your pup is, I'm happy to care for them too!
Reviews
Jovelle was great! Highly recommend.
Jovelle was awesome on Chloe’s first day with her. She communicated all the specifics very well and took extra time to make Chloe feel comfortable. She sent updates and pictures, and she made sure Chloe had more than enough walks. It was a great experience. I’ll definitely hope for Chloe to stay with Jovelle again in the future.
She was a great sitter for my maltipoo Kai! Kai was so happy with her. He came home such a happy pup! Jovelle sent photos throughout Kai’s stay and was very responsive. Shes a great sitter!
Jovelle has been amazing with Winston. Winston is always so excited to see her. She gives me frequent updates throughout the day and a summary at the end. She is also very accommodating if I have to work late or drop off Winston early. I would highly recommend Jovelle.

Safety, trust & environment
All boarding and day care bookings are constant care—your pup will never be left home alone and I'll always be supervising. Because I have two dogs of my own, I can only care for dogs that are friendly with other dogs. I'm also happy to keep them separated via a gate (or in a separate room) if you feel your pup would be more comfortable with that. Otherwise, they are welcome to roam. The only area that is gated off is the kitchen to avoid accidental ingestion of anything unhealthy, and the dogs are always kept separated at meal time.
Information Jovelle A. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know any health concerns, dietary restrictions, allergies, etc.—anything to keep your dog healthy! I would also love to know about anything you feel would help them settle in better, whether that's offering treats, playtime, or going on walks together. I do my best for the dogs to be as comfortable as possible in a new environment
A typical day
I live very close to a quiet park with a large grassy field for daily walks—and if your pup is up for it, I also live near Race Street Pier and Penn's Landing for longer walks. For time spent within the apartment, I have a drawer full of toys that all the dogs are welcome to: balls, ropes, plushies, and a snuffle mat (as long as you're okay with me giving them treats!). They are also welcome to curl up on the bed, couches, and wherever they please—the only area that is gated off is the kitchen. That said, I've noticed all the dogs I've cared for have claimed ownership of the bean bag chair within hours of arriving

Availability
Pet care is my primary line of work so I have plenty of flexibility. Pick-up and drop-off times can be anytime between 7am and 11pm, and since I stay with the pups all day, I can be reached on the phone at all times. Additionally, I know that sometimes travel plans get interrupted—whether that's airline delays or traffic jams or anything else. I keep a buffer zone of one day between all bookings so that I can accommodate extensions.
