Please ignore 🙏 💖 🏡 About us/ What to expect: I have a lifelong background with dogs, and all sorts of other animals; one half of my family being ranchers, and the other loving exotic pets. I have a keen interest in dog psychology/ training, and have volunteered at several shelters. I rely on lived experience and the study of dog behavior- always keeping my database up to date on new science and understandings in the canine world. I hope to be a certified trainer soon! I would be your pets primary care provider. Damon Hartl, (30yrs old)my wonderful partner, is also insured. Damon is a natural with animals. His ability to make the most shy pups warm up to him almost immediately even makes me jealous and surprises owners. We make an excellent team! It’s adorable seeing pets choose boy or girl energy as their favorite during their stay 😂 Mine and Damon’s experience assures comfortability and proper stimulation for a variety of dogs: High energy pups with a spectrum of training, puppies learning their new world, elders, & rescues- who are either used to the good life, or need the reliability of a safe environment. Rescues do amazing with us, and we work extensively with this category of experience. They are provided with a predictable atmosphere without the raucous of a noisy kennel or a private boarder who takes on 4+ dogs. They learn how to be a dog again, and work with the pack I have at any given time. Rescues are never pushed too far, but are given the right amount of adaptation at the right time. Fearful pets quickly become best friends in one short meet and greet. Watching rescues, “Covid dogs,” and puppies become more confident with new situations is beautiful for my clients and I to see. Those pups learn a lot about how to feel secure and behave in an environment outside of their norm. We enjoy going on extended hikes with active pets. I am insured for dog taxi, and have a very safe SUV or van with lots of room. I do not have any pets of my own; a choice I’ve made to be dependable and available for my clients. Requirements/ What to Bring ⏰ Pets must be able to be left alone for up to 6 hours, occasionally. Pets who cannot be left alone will be charged an additional dog rate. Pets must be non-aggressive with other pups, otherwise please book them as the only guests. Nervousness and some insecurity is ok, as I am here to help your dogs learn how to feel confident in new environments with other friendly pups. You know your dogs limits, so please make sure that is relayed. Reactive pups are welcome and will be boarded on their own without other guests. We are not scared of reactive dogs. We take great care to accommodate and help them. Because we pride ourselves on helping animals socialize, we are very careful with our scheduling. Temperaments, energy levels, and age are all accommodated for in our booking process. This is where the doggy gates come in handy- to give everyone their space when there is any amount of overstimulation. We will talk about your pets needs in depth. CIRDC: Pets must have 0 symptoms of respiratory illness. Pets must be quarantined for 2 weeks from: -Dog boarding facilities and day cares -Groomers who service more than 1 dog at a time and do not sanitize between clients -Dog Parks *Please bright a signed release addressed to me to your vet of choice. Or call your vet ahead of time. *Please bring their own food, and treats. (I give larger breeds pig ears with your permission) *Bring their dog bed, their crate if they are crate trained, a blanket if necessary. *Favorite chew toy or 2 *Food & Water bowl ❗️Please bring enough 🦴 BONES 🦴 for chewing for the entirety of the stay. ❗️ 🐶 🐩 💉🏥Tell Me About Your Pups: *Please consider having a signed release addressed to Joslyn Kaufman to the appropriate vet incase of emergency. *Please send photos of Distemper, Parvo, Bordetella, Adrenovirus-2, and Rabies vaccinations *Please message me their full daily routine, and food measurements/ times. Questions to answer: Do they have any current or previous health history/ injuries/ medication? Are the able to be left alone for 4-6 hours occasionally? Have they been with a sitter before? What is their temperament or important personality traits? What are their exercise requirements? After we answer some of these questions we will go ahead with a meet and greet at my house or yours depending on boarding or house sitting needs! Additional meet and greets are 25$. 👋💚 About Us: My name is Joslyn, Montana local and professional pet and house sitter for 7 years with availability all across Montana, based in Billings, MT. I often service the Bozeman and Big Sky areas. 🌾 🐄 7th generation Montanan born and raised, my family settled in the Bridger Canyon of Bozeman where the free-range cattle ranch still exists today. 🐎 🦜 I’ve grown up with horses, (doing a total of 6 days mule-pulled, canvas-covered wagon expositions riding horse back), snakes, parrots, rodents, and of course cats and dogs. 🦎🐍 Aside from enjoying animals, I am an avid backpacker, artist, and world traveler. I am an active, focused person who’s passion for pets started on my families ranch and all my past pets. I also enjoy kayaking, yoga, and frisbee golf in my spare time. I volunteered at the Mendocino Humane Society walking dogs in 2017 and 2018 in Ukiah, California before moving to the coastal town of Point Arena, CA where I house and pet sat, as well as large luxury resident housekeeping for 6 years. Hi! I’m Damon. I have a background in music production, IT, and graphic design and am also from Montana. In my pastime I enjoy music production, hiking, and riding my moped. I work with musicians and DJs mixing, and mastering. I am focused on digital music mediums, guitar, piano, and drums. I love to travel, and camp! Pets have always been apart of my life. I grew up with Rusty the very serious, yet loving Basset hound, Candy the Shepard/ retriever that fits her namesake, and Daisy another Shepard lab mix- very particular but loyal. Having these experiences with my own dogs and other friends, and family members dogs was instrumental. I also grew up with a best friend Amazon parrot who used to ride on my shoulder as I biked around the neighborhood. I raised several other bird species, and two bearded dragons- sharing a unique bond with all of them. Connecting with timid and frightened animals has always been a second mature to me and I’m not exactly sure what ignited it, but it’s always been there. Family have told me I got my grandmothers “special touch” with dogs. It is very helpful and endearing.
