Pet care experience
4+ years of professional animal care experience! I have practice caring for all kinds of small animals in a boarding/daycare facility. Care includes feeding, medicating, cleaning up after and exercising both dogs and cats. I also have experience with rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs and small birds! Other than my experience in boarding, I've grown up with livestock and many small animal pets. I have worked as a vet assistant in a general practice and an emergency practice! Currently I’m attending vet school with the goal of becoming a small animal emergency veterinarian!

We have worked with Josie on several occasions. She is remarkably dependable. Josie always responds quickly to our messages, keeps us informed when she visits our kitties, and takes photos of them playing with her. Usually, I have anxiety when I have to leave my cats during travels, but not when Josie is watching them.
Josie provided excellent care for our two cats. Her communication was quick and friendly, and she was always on time for her visits. During her half-hour visit, Josie sent us a detailed summary of what she did, along with pictures. We could tell by the pictures that our more sociable cat thoroughly enjoyed her company. We highly recommend Josie as a Pet Sitter. When traveling and visiting family, things can be stressful, but you will not have to worry about your pets with Josie!

I will always encourage clients to fill out the pet profiles and veterinary information in case of emergency. It's also important to know if a dog is food-aggressive, dog-aggressive, or reactive towards anything in particular. I'd also like to know if the dog has any medical or behavioral issues. As for breed preferences, all pets have their individual quirks, but cats have a special place in my heart and I do love big, fluffy dogs!
A typical day
I love staying active! I really enjoy taking dogs for walks as it is fun for both them and myself! For older or more mellow pets, I also love just hanging out and giving lots of love and attention. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. I'm super excited to get to know you and your pets and to help out in any way I can!
