I grew up around animals my whole life, from dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, bunnies and turtles. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all sizes since I was young. I have neighbors, friends, & family who have relied on me to care for their fur babies from just a few hours to a few weeks to take them on a walk, feed, bathe and even administer medications to them. Currently in my household I do not have any pets. My most recent pet I had was a black Labrador named Shadow. He was born half blind. He was full of life and loved playing with tennis balls. Shadow lived to be 11 years old but, in his final years his health began declining due to a mass he had in his belly that unfortunately could not be removed due to his age. I made sure to give Shadow an amazing life full of cuddles, treats, toys, and hikes. At the time I do not plan to have another dog yet as currently we are still mourning the loss of Shadow. But I still open my home and my time to helping care for the pets of my friends, neighbors and family.
