I miss having animals in my life!
Pet care experience
My name is Josie and I recently moved to DC. While in college I fostered 11 dogs and 4 cats and I miss doing that SO much. As I am living in an apartment that doesn’t allow pets, I can't have any fosters. I figured pet sitting/walking is the perfect alternative! Prior to college my family had a great cockapoo named Leo who was with us for 16 long years <3 I’ve never not had a dog in my life wether it’s my own, a foster, or looking after a neighbors.

Having worked from home for the past 6 months with several fosters, I’ve learned to love sharing my work space with a buddy! I often like to sit with them while I do work and bring them with me for an outside break.
Information Josie C. would like to know about your pet
It would be great to know how your dog acts around other dogs and other animals, or even certain types of people, some of my old fosters didn’t like men. Additionally if they have any medication or needs. Some of my foster dogs got triggered by certain motions or noises so let me know if your dog has any unique things that bother them. Or any unique things they love like a certain area to scratch or a favorite game.
A typical day
I am in Capitol Hill near Stanton Park which always has dogs and people. If I’m house sitting I like to keep them involved in everything I do, whether that’s watching TV, doing work, making food. I like to actually talk to them and engage with them as I do tasks.

Availability
I currently work remote 4 days a week and can take breaks here and there so a walk and pet sitting fits well into my schedule. My schedule is 9-5 so can usually fit in a walk or check in during lunch if you’re close! Or even just WFH from your apartment if you need a longer visit. Nights and weekends are also fair game.
